The safety reversal system of your garage door opener is one of the most important aspects of keeping your garage door opener functioning properly and keeping your family safe. There are two types of springs on a garage door, extension or torsion, and within those categories there are also many different springs and combinations of springs that each individual door will take that will be different from other doors. We always recommend having an expert change your spring(s) for you, as there is quite a bit of torque on garage door springs and the process of installation can pose very dangerous if one is not experienced. An important note as well, is that when only one spring is broken on a dual spring system, we highly recommend replacing both springs as they both have had the same amount of use and the unbroken spring will probably fail in the near future.

Doors that are often on homes when they are built may have plastic rollers, or the rollers may simply be warped or worn down over time. Many times, changing the rollers will completely change the functioning of the garage door and opener system.
